Just a vent. Feel free to ignore. We're in the "we're very interested in your DD, need to evaluate a few other players, come to organizational tryouts" phase with four different teams and I'm about to chew my arm off. We do have one offer (as I've discussed), so I doubt she'll wind up with no team at all, but we have a lot of doubts/concerns about this new org/new team she got the offer from.

Please, G-d, let the waiting game end at the end of this weekend. Don't think I can stand another week of it.

Has school started yet? I know here a lot of teams are waiting until the weekend before school starts (which is Aug 22) before they finalize their rosters as many girls have not returned from vacation yet.

On the flip side, the team that offered you a spot is waiting for you to give them an answer to build the team.... Yup it goes both ways :)

Public schools have started. DD goes to a private school that starts next Thurs. It seems split with some teams holding final org tryouts this weekend and some next weekend.

Very true. This process sucks all the way around. I really, really do wish it was more coordinated, like sorority rush or private school selections, where everyone is on the same timetable. But I understand why it's not, I guess.

Finding a new team is the absolute worst. Then you find one but it takes a month or 2 and a couple of tournaments to really know what it's going to be like. I hope you hear from the other teams soon.
