I would like to hear opinions from the DFP community on the best balls to use for backyard batting practice.
We have the TCB balls but I understand that they aren't to be used for more than a couple of reps.
I know some people like the skilz balls but I am unsure of which ones to buy, or if there are better options out there.
What I am hoping to find is something that reinforces correct contact/mechanics that won't risk breaking our neighbors windows.

we use TCB's, havent heard of the limited reps, usually do 10-12, per girl, if they want more then give them another 10-12.
Also use the TCB hole balls, but girls have hit them to center field so no really to limited.

On a side note, bought 24 TCBs in February and only 10 of them don't have holes or tears. have 10 left from a batch of 12 i bought the previous year. Must have changed something in the formula.

Back on the dirt...
I have used mojo balls or Anywhere balls mixed in with tcb balls. The are light so a little difficult to throw in the wind but can literally be hit in the house with out damage. By mixing the two, the batter doesn't adjust their swing to hit them.

On the TCB balls, contact the manufacture about them. I have heard they are good about replacing. Or they were good about it in the past.

Yep. We've done a lot of Mojo ball work in the house...when DW isn't home ;) You can drive these things straight into a window/glass door/TV without worry. Seriously.

Thanks, that is a good idea. I don't remember where I heard that you shouldn't be hitting more than a few reps with them, but I think it was in a thread I read on here that suggested that many girls will alter their swing mechanics to make the TCB balls go further
We have the Anywhere balls but our DD has hit them pretty far. She could definitely use them in the house though and then she won't have to retrieve them from our neighbors yard.

I wish I still had a pic my DD took of my husband when they were using these balls in the garage last winter. He had taken to wearing her batters helmet when she was hitting them b/c she was driving them right back at his head. The picture she took had the Anywhere ball wedged into the cage of the helmet while it was still on my husbands head - looked like someone tried to stage the picture :)

My pitching lane is through a doorway, so I have some protection ;) The Mojo/Anywhere balls can travel a little. Outside, my DD hits them over our house to the front yard.

Both DD's like the TCB holey balls. You can throw them hard and flat even in a little wind. They will sting if you get lined, but they won't "hurt" you.
