DD is going to USSSA World Series in Orlando next week. I got a text today from our orgs older team today saying they said "no livestreaming games" has anyone else heard this? Do you really think they will enforce it? I was going to do it so the family members who couldn't come can watch.

Back on the dirt...
Interested in this as well. We record all games but I try to broadcast games that are too far for many to attend. We will also be attending next week. Do they broadcast the games themselves?

I'm assuming they would notice my livestream broadcaster if they made a point to say no livestreaming. I'm sure they've seen all the setups. The only reason I can think they don't want it done is so parents don't sit at the hotel to save the $17.50 a day gate fee per person

I'm using a linkspyder and a GoPro to record and broadcast. I don't think they would know but they might not let me set up GoPro to start with.

Me too. But I use a Duracell powerpack to power my broadcaster. I guess I could try and hide the broadcaster and tell them I'm just recording.....

$17.50 per DAY???? I have gone to the WCWS and saw the best of the best of the best for about $25 per day when you average out an all session pass over the tournament. I have season tickets for an SEC team where I get to see 12 SEC conference games, plus another 20 or so out of conference games for about $100 per person. And these are the premium seats.

This is getting out of control. They think they have a captive audience, which they do for now. Someone come up with something that isn't this insane. Un-freaking-believable. $17.50 PER DAY!!!!:mad:

The only reason I can think of is if you logon to their public wifi. Then you're using quite a bit of their bandwidth to stream a game. If you have 20+ people streaming the network will be chocked to the point of being useless. If you stream the data through a cell phone you shouldn't affect their bandwidth.

Do they stream the games already? I know some tournaments are doing that now. You'll have to find out more from the TD. They may charge for the live feed for the games so they don't want the competition.

I have a hotspot. No need for anyone's wifi. I do know USSSA streams some games from some fields but it's free. The only reason I can seen them saying no is because of admission money....
