This will make JJsqueze's criteria of 500 words or greater but bear with me.

Started spring/summer 12u with C class team that is primarily 04's but DD is 03. She tried out as a pitcher and utility. Has played predominantly LF and pitched very little. At the beginning of the season we knew they already had three pitchers but she was given a spot and has done well. She has 4 wins and 2 losses (was pulled early in each of the losses). Of the 118 innings total that have been pitched between all 4 pitchers, she has pitched 9.3 of them. She has not pitched in the last 3 tournaments (10 games). OBTW we have gone three and out the last two tournaments, four and out this past weekend. DW and I are really disgusted and want to leave but we don't want to be THOSE parents. DD feels that the coach doesn't like her and is constantly on her case. We have the option to go ahead and move to the 14u team that we want to play with in the fall but I'm stuck on the commitment thing. I am planning to call and talk to one of the coaches to see what their mindset is. If they're done with her pitching then we're done with them. She is not developing any as a player with the team. She will get so much more out of the 14U move.

How many players are on the team? How much is your DD playing overall? If your DD really wants to pitch she needs circle time as the #1 or #2 pitcher. If her leaving would not leave her current team short handed I would make a move.

We are getting to the point where there is less than a month left in this season right? 2-3 tourneys left at most?

Stick with this team, guest with the older team on off weekends and move to the older team when the new tryouts happen next season?

10 Players on the team. DD played essentially half the tournament this past weekend because the player that will be taking her place in the fall was playing the other half. Agreed that she needs to be #1 or #2 but she's not getting any circle time to show her improvement or get re-evaluated in game situation.

Yes, one tourney and then WS left. Already offered a spot on the 14U squad b/c her strength/agility coach is the HC of that team.

With only 10 players I would suggest sticking it out until the end of the season and guest playing for other teams whenever you can. I do not know about your area, but in GA there are always teams looking for pitchers to pickup.

So...you joined team that you knew had 3 pitchers and now mad she isn't getting what you consider adequate time in
the circle in your opinion? They never promised her pitching time...did they? Now she feels the coach doesn't like
her because she isn't pitching? But you are leaving...so they are supposed to give more time to a player that isn't
going to be around after this season?

And this other team offered her a spot because the HC knows her? Hmmm...not a ringing endorsement there
either in my opinion.

I don't know, you made a commitment playing for a team YOU KNEW had enough pitchers. To me, any circle
was a bonus and you finish out and then do whatever floats your boat.

With so little time left I'd probably stick it out and pick up in the meantime. In a similar situation we did leave but it was at the beginning of spring. It's probably not worth the reputation demerits to jump ship so close to the end.

I hate to say it, but if there are only 10 players you kind of have to stick it out. Guest on the other team if you can. You also gave your DD's stats,
but how good are the other 3 pitchers. I can't believe a 12U C team has 4 good pitchers.

With two tournaments you should stay...if the 14U teams needs a guest player on the off weekends definitely do that.

Again as others have said you could not expect circle time joining a team with 3 established pitchers on the roster.

Finally if your DD is not head and shoulders above 12U "C" level pitchers I would not expect a lot of time on a 14U team.
