Dd's team has if first summer tournament this weekend. Has been pretty cool weather so far, and of course this weekend, suppose to be 97 both days. Any tips or special things you guys do for cooling girls down between games. Already stocked up on gatorades/water and fruit. Got the cooling towels ready to go. Anything else?

We're from Arizona and girls play in very hot weather every year. Sounds like you're good to go.. just have her stay very hydrated and start the night before. She doesn't want to start the day dehydrated. You could also give her a spray bottle with some ice water.

I would also talk to the 2 people in the long wool pants standing around on your field. They have a whole slew of tricks. From drinks to ammonia towels.

Start drinking water the night before and continue before, during and after the game. We alternate every couple of waters with a bit of Gatorade.

It's going to be a hot one for sure. We are playing in the Trenton Booster Bash this weekend. All three days are going to be scorchers, but we do have quite a bit of time between games for pool play.

Fruit for snacks is good. We also got ours a cooling cap like football players wear. She can't field with it because it makes her face mask slip but she wears it when she's hitting.

I would start hydrating them earlier than the night before. That and greeting them conditioned to it helps.

I love these, and keep several packets for any girls who look like they're wilting. Also, I mix up sole the weeks prior and make her drink it daily in a bulletproof hot chocolate (or iced). She's used to it now, but it's weird. We don't do gatorade or sugar.

DD struggles with vasovagal syncope, and dizzies. We researched and actually found that our low salt, low processed food diet combined with her daily level of activity was disrupting her electrolytes. She's a natural sweat machine. So after tons of research, we ran into a formula that has worked wonders.

She has a hot chocolate almost every morning, made with 1 tsp of sole and added protein (stevia sweetened). She did great in the heat last weekend, no dizzies or fainting!
