My daughter received a warranty replacement (No Return Stamped) CF8. It is a week old today. At practice last night the end cap popped off. There is little to no epoxy on the end cap and I can pop it on/off at will. I was going to epoxy the end cap back on, but one of the other coaches believes I might run into trouble down the road if it pops back off. Should I just epoxy the cap back on and call it done or reach out to Demarini? Just seeing if anyone has run into similar situations and has any recommendations.

Umpire hat on.....

That bat is done. I'd suggest speaking with Demarini. Technically, gluing that in would make that an altered bat. You don't want that on your resume.

This was what the other coach was explaining to me. I'll reach out to Demarini and see what they have to say. I'm guessing this one just slipped through QC. I understand how easily that can happen and got to explain business to a 10 year old last night. At least she is cool with it and still has a functional CF5.

I would reach out to Demarini, even though it is "no return" that is not normal after one week; since it is no return don't expect to get another bat but it can hurt to ask...all they can say is no.

Hey that CF5 probably still has a little pop in it; if you have absolutely no luck...hook up with @Coresoftball on the board here and he will get you a great bat at a great price.

They replaced one in a similar situation for a girl on our team. Their customer service is top notch so I bet you will not have any problems.

Very true and that is my frame of mind going into it.

Also - Coresoftball is the real deal. He has been more than helpful for myself and many of my friends.

These go thru a line...this one prob didn't get much if any epoxy. I would call Demarini and let them take care of it.

If you do it, anything that happens after is out of their hands.

If you decide to do it yourself...marine epoxy is the real deal.
Many other epoxy/glues just do not hold up to the flex in the bat.
