So hoping to find a great pregame infield outfield warm up routine we can do before every game.Looking for something other than the basic , something where we can possibly have two balls going at once.Any ideas are welcome if anyone has one and has a video of it in action that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Our Team Rules and stretches are this:

This is only for the first game of the day.

Report 1 hour before game time, get helmets and bats out. Mingle and talk with each other.

Stretching begins at 50 mins til
Gloves/Masks must be taken out with you and sat by the closet base foul line.

Static Stretch (about 5 mins)
Dynamic Stretch ( about 5 mins)
Jog to Center Field and Back, then Foul line from 3rd or1st to foul pole. ( if a teammate is late for beginning stretches then that teammate runs 1 extra down and back)

Throws (Must not miss, or have to start over):

25 from knee (watch for proper form) (Back and forth would be 2, so really it's only 12 throws per side +1)
25 standing side throws from short (25 feet) (again, working on keeping our hips, shoulders, and feet correct)
25 full throws @ 60 feet
20 long distance @ 85 + feet

As the throwing is going on we will have another coach set up with the hitting net. Starting Pitcher/catcher always warm up together and are the first to hit, then we just go down the line and call the girls over in their pairs to hit.

STAR Drill ( 5 positions, player rotate) Home to SS to 1st to 3rd to 2nd to Home. Must get 5 rotations without a miss.

Everyone gets 3 pop ups, and 6 or 7 grounders (except Pitcher/Catcher who, at this time, are warming up)

After all that there is usually about 10 before game time. Get everything picked up, and get in the dugout for any pregame talk which always ends with "Don't forget to HAVE FUN!"

That was a lot to type out. LOL

I was thinking about that too, I think some teams spend a lot of time choreographing thier pre game. They do look good though before the game starts.

This is high school. If this makes sense both effective and choregraphical.

Interestingly this silliness ends with college ball.

I would recommend hitting to OF and IF separately to get as many useful reps as possible. Let the starting pitcher and catcher stay busy preparing for the actual game. When we were the visitor my DD and her catcher would stop for the national anthem and then keep throwing until it was time to take the field. She often started stronger away than when at home.

Right Here For Now
JMO and this is what we now do for TB. Show up an hour early. Dynamic stretches for 20 minutes. Check with Wassermanstrength.com to get the info. Static stretches are ineffective if done before the blood gets to the muscles since they are cold and won't stretch properly and is ineffective after a dynamic warmup since the blood is already there and will be In the process of cooling down with the muscle fibers which will be starting to condense due to lack of continuous exercise.

20 minutes hitting/bunting with the pitchers and catchers going first. We do tee work with real balls 20 each into the net. Front toss hitting with wiffles/heavies 20 each and front toss bunting 10 each. Then Pitchers and catchers go to warm up. After everyone has been through hitting, we break them up into IF and OF. AC hits OF fly balls while HC hits IF ground balls and LD's.

5 minutes before gametime, HC has IF in position and Pitcher throws strikes while catcher makes throwdowns to 2nd and snaps to 1st and 3rd.

Game starts,

First year coaching school ball. For a warm up we run, stretch, hitting stations, warm up the arms and off to the side field deep fly balls/grounders and the infield field fields grounders, but we are primarily in left field using a small strip of infield dirt for the infield grounders. Because all my experience is in travel ball it blew my mind when the opposing coach in my first game asked me if I wanted the first or second ten minutes of full infield. never seen that before but in all my games I just tell them they can have it all. Last thing I want to do is a pre game scouting demonstration for the opponents. Although I sure do appreciate the pre game heads up on all their weaknesses. Use the info every game:)

You may want to consider moving that to 10 minutes as there should be no one warming up during the pre-game meeting
