I'm working on uniforms for spring. I can't decide to go with short sleeves for both jerseys or one ss and one sleeveless. Anyone have their finger on the pulse of the uniform trends. I'm resisting the trend of ankle length pants. Those are still too baseball for me.

Thinking back to the past few weekends in 12U up I am seeing 90% sleeved. For those few teams without sleeves, most of the girls have seem to be wearing compression shirts beneath the jerseys.

10U down it seems to be 50/50.

With today's breathable fabrics DD's uniforms have all had sleeves since 12U. They are light enough that some girls roll up the sleeves if they prefer. We use Under Armour to adjust for colder weather.

DD's 18u TB team has 1 sleeveless, one short sleeve. Both HS jerseys are short sleeve. Which makes sense since we sometimes play in snow...

When my DD's were young, our team had sleeveless jerseys for years. The sleeveless jerseys usually had larger slots for the arms and with the girls growing, seemed to benefit, whereas our practice shirts had short sleeves and when they players grew, the sleeves were tighter, especially when wearing cold gear. Our pitchers liked the sleeveless since the short sleeves where tighter when they are pitching. Now that they are in high school, our team has short sleeve jerseys but the girls were asking about getting sleeveless next year.

DD would care less about the pants as long as they are pants and not shorts. She played in shorts for a little while and sent them a thank you note when they moved from shorts to pants.

I like the sleevless with jersey with holes. They can wear a light dri-fit under it which looks really nice when it warms up. Or a long sleeve Under Armour to keep them warm on the cooler days
