I would say most girls like the sleeves. If you go sleeveless you will have a few girls that it will rub them in their arm pits and it is not always the girls with the big arms. I would definitely go with a light weight material...lots of options and price ranges for this.

That is just fascinating to me. Just a few years ago the drive among our girls for travel ball was to have no sleeves and racer backs. Which of course led to some awesome softball tans - a very distinctive pattern.

Just our experience on last couple teams is a lot of girls don't like the ugly farmer's tan that you get with sleeves - just as easy to wear compression shirt under the sleeveless when necessary as under short sleeves. Had one pair of the pants last year and all but two of the the girls hated them, the begged to not have to wear them, which meant we were washing the short pants all the time until we finally bought another pair of short pants mid season. They aren't built loose like a pair of sweats and they aren't super stretchy like spandex (thankfully) so they were binding the legs of the bigger girls as well as restricting to the pitchers. Plus they got a lot of comments from other teams about "why were they wearing baseball pants" - they were a complete flop last year, maybe more popular this year :/

Oh yeah and we ended up having to pay extra to have them hemmed which we never had to do with the short pants.

I'm seeing some retro-MLB looks around Chicago. The pro team had a mid-80s era White Sox look for most of the summer.

The Beverly Bandits jerseys this fall look very mid-80s Houston Astros.
