We have two SD cards, and bring my laptop to tournaments to copy games over to during breaks. Our first time using it, we screwed up and ran out of space, and missed my daughter's first game pitching ever. It got recorded over by another game. Rookie mistake but I still want to cry when I think about it.

Gopro, LynkSpyder, external battery and battery eliminator - basically everything Josh recommends @ LynkSpyder.com
External hard drive for storage is a must

We do the same..........just started using periscope on iphone with a wide angle lense to stream live.

On the bucket
GoPro and LynkSpyder...and several memory cards and back up batteries. :) There are accessories that I consider luxury, but for basic...this is way to go.

Just bought an SJCAM5000 (Chinese copy of the Hero 3+) with 3 batteries and 5 32gb micro SD cards and of course a LinkSpyder set up.
I plan to test it and the wireless iphone connection out next Monday night at the next HS fall ball game.

On the go pro, do you need the one with the display screen to set it up? I have an original go pro and it wasn't hard to aim but my wifey is not as camera friendly. Thinking the display will help get it set up correctly. I would use it but I mainly use an iPad for everything now and I have not figured out how to make it work. Seems like the Bluetooth would make it much easier to use and view.

Thanks for the replies!

In my opinion, the Hero 4 Silver (the GoPro with the LCD) is the best solution. The LCD is very handy for quickly setting up the device for game recording. WiFi is of course a solution, but it is faster and easier to use the LCD. Not only for camera positioning, but also quickly changing settings is so much easier on the LCD. So as I find myself finishing Game 1 on field A and immediately play Game 2 on field R, I don't want to have to fool with setting my phone up to WiFi on the GoPro, hoping it connects, and use the phone in one hand setup the camera in the other. I would rather slap the camera on the fence, use the display to align and setup the video quickly. (Hope this makes sense)

We have the Hero 4 Silver. I think it's very easy to use. The wifi seems to drain the battery much more quickly so I just start it with the buttons right as the game starts. My husband's AC, and he always reminds me. So far I've never forgotten but it's nice to have the safety net. lol

Back on the dirt...
I got my setup ready. Went with the GoPro hero 4 LCD, added the battery pack, lynkspyder, and tool pouch. Tourney tomorrow so I'm excited to try it out! So far it's very easy to use.

What various settings are you using to get the most out of the battery and memory? Frame speed, width, lighting etc.

Thanks
