Wow does the ump in the Calif and Texas game want more offense or what, the only thing he is giving is right down the middle. The announces keep saying "good pitch" makes it tough on the kids I would think. JMHO

Seems he is calling a softball strike zone with some of the outside pitches. :) And yes, F3 did throw an elbow and I'm still trying to figure out WTF the umpire was watching since it was pretty conspicuous.

I thought he was squeezing both sides equally...and whoever was calling pitches for CA was an idiot...

And as for the thug 1B who was the pitcher at the end...karma took care of it...she can be a cruel mutha...

He was callin it equal for both sides and putin the squeeze on for sure. He did seems to loosen up as the night went on, maybe someone talked to him. As far as the elbow the 1b threw he should of been tossed out it looked like it was on purpose for sure. Texas had the last laugh though. If they win it all I wonder how many coaches will have dreadlocks next year? Good game with good teams playin.

Looks like it was intentional to me. Lucky the runner did not get really hurt.

Missed the game maybe the ump was just trying to make up for those pretty bad calls all tournament on outside pitches, those are not fair either. My wife who is no big fan even turned to me a couple times during previous games and said "Did he just call that a strike?" to which I replied " I guess so?" I rewind and the pitch is in the other batters box, it is great for the pitchers but how is a kid supposed to maintain good plate discipline when pitches like that get called; the next pitch is in the opposite batters box again and the kid strikes out swinging no chance to actually make contact (even crowding the plate) but what other option does he have other than to strike out looking.

Looks like a TX hs Softball catcher to me.

Not to mention he is standing on the base without a throw coming.

Ya it does look like the TX catcher, after watching the video a couple of times the runner is lucky he didn't get elbowed in the face. And why was he ON the base the ball wasn't on the way. Poor sportsmanship to say the least.
