I received something about tryouts for a USA elite select softball all American games. Is this for real or just a rouse to spend my money? There's a suspicious number of buzzwords in all that.

It's real but BS that parents participate in $100+ tryouts in random states to then go to Orlando and spend more money just to say their kid was on the U trip elite select super duper gold platinum exclusive members only team. Parents please remember it's about the kids. Not you

Since we are in Florida it was a little easier to justify since it didn't involve travel costs of any significance.
Several local girls (i.e. from Florida) ended up on the 'West' representative teams to make up numbers.
