Does anyone know the price of laser grading a softball field in the New York/New Jersey area? I have a meeting with the AD and I am trying to find out prices for him.

At the Jewel in San Diego
Call up the Yankees and see who they go thru. Request to talk to their field Manager.

The Angels do a lot of business with us, so Ive gotten to know Barney pretty well. Those guys are really informative when it comes to field prep

Here is a link to the NJ STMA(sports turf managers association) vendor list. At the top they list some people who do leveling. I know Dennis Desanctis and he is very knowledgable.

Factors include: Can you dispose of old mix on site or does it need to be hauled off? Where is the new mix coming from? Trucking can be more than the material itself. How big is foul territory? Do you have the capability to lay out the plate/bases after it is renovated or does the contractor need to do it? Is there existing irrigation? True infield mixes must be watered. Do you want clay bricks in the pitching lane and batter's boxes? If you only want your existing mix laser-leveled, you can do it for 10.5 cents per square foot. If total redo of 3 or 4 inches of mix and irrigation, it could be as much as $12,000. Hope this helps.

We are having the soil tested now to see what amendments need to be add. Then will till that stuff into the top three inches. Looking just to have existing layered to level. I could probably level with a string line grading. But that could take a while on a softball field.
