My DD is in Chicago for the DeMarini Invitational Showcase. DW and I decided to stay home to save a little $$$. Pool play started tonight and all of the games are available online! Cost me $19.50 for a one month subscription to the service, but I figure I would have spent that at the concession stand! Just lost to the Tampa Mustangs 0-3, but DD pitched much better tonight than she has in the past 4 weeks. Looking forward to watching more softball this weekend from the comfort of my back porch....the beer, cigars and easy access to the rest rooms makes it even better!

One more thing...does your computer go by the name "Joshua"?...cuz you have a lot of stuff on that thing

There is a Heineken in the picture too!!! I had to switch to light beer because if my DD did not pitch well there was a chance I would have finished the 12-pack. Fortunately for me she pitched pretty well, so I will be able to make it to work tomorrow. Hangovers last 3 days now....getting old ain't easy!!!

Yeah I saw the Heiney....Heineys are for the Holidays tho...not summertime lol. Okay I'll give you a free pass on the canned water for the purpose of mass consumption. May I introduce you to PBR?

Yeaaaaaah the "getting old hangovers" do suck pretty bad.

It's all good, including being able to watch your DD live...that had to be pretty special....happy for ya.

So what is a good summertime beer? I have 5 more pool games and single elimination bracket play left, so I am going to need to make a trip to the liquor store!

The bad thing is that you can see every game of that tournament but you can't get a D1 school with a $100 million athletic budget to stream every home game!

The best session beer is an English Mild. Sam Adams, Tallgrass, and Cains are good examples. Alcohol for these are in the 3% range.

I do this all the time.
I don't subscribe to cable TV,
and am thankful many universities, World Cup, etc stream games for free.

My family pokes fun at me out on the side porch: laptop, cigar, bourbon in-hand;
but i do love this game. And enjoy watching; DD, or not.
(DD is only 12, so no TV time - yet... :p
