A "showcase" means three things to me - 1) the tournament fees will be 2-3X a typical tournament, 2) some college coaches will be there, and 3) it will be a friendly format with no elimination bracket. And if it is a popular showcase, you had better have some SERIOUS connections if you want to get in.

Don't be shy about asking around. Anyone who has been at this very long has paid way too much to take a team to a worthless showcase. The good news is that in TB coaching circles, that news travels pretty quickly.
