So Cal
It looks like Force3 is putting some serious thought into their designs. Unfortunately, my DD's small-ish head usually demands a "youth" helmet size.

Although not nearly as elaborate in the impact absorption measures as Force3, the new Easton Pro-X helmet is looking like a step in a better direction for that brand. The new design includes removal of the forehead mounting points, and a significant improvement in padding, including Poron XRD shock absorption material (good stuff!).

I have read recently that the Pro-X helmet will be available in November.

Called Force3 today and spoke to one of the principals there. Was told they expect to have the youth size mask in the next few weeks (6 3/8 - 7 1/8). They had to wait for their certification, apparently. Only available in black for time being. No place near me to get my hands on one, but they'll accept returns if it doesn't fit.

The Force3 could certainly be in my DD's Christmas bag. Looked at the info on it, and it's a very impressive setup. Just got her new (discontinued, awesome price) ProMotion chest and leg protectors in adult size. Her shock fx mask still does the job, but it's getting a good bit worn.

The design of the Force 3 is flat across the from eliminating the advantage of the hockey helmet. A flat design will make you eat a lot of balls that would otherwise be shed by an angled design. They invented a problem to solve
