Given the duration of a good quality glove's lifecycle vs a bat these days and factor in the attachment (my kid's at least) felt for a glove that's with them all the time and it's a head scratcher for sure. Quality never goes out of style!

A few years ago, while warming up my oldest dd (who can throw harder than most men) was warm enough to start throwing hard... the girl she was partnered with was using an old box store POS glove.... pocket failure right into her eye!!! Rushed her to the ER, broken nose, and several stitches under her eyebrow.... Get your kids good gloves for GODS sake!

Not my kids , they use Vinci's finest (well except my 10yo DS, the optimus is still a bit heavy for him) but her teammates - I talk and talk and talk to them about it- but I can't force people to spend money, even at the price im giving them They use their bats 2-3 times a game, but their glove ALL game every game from warmups to the end.. I dont get why people dont see the investment.
Get your kids good gloves for GODS sake!

Both of my DD's have Vinci's from CASEDAWG....DD1 has a JCV-22 , all black with her name in red down the thumb... DD2 has a custom optimus, custom color scheme (black, walnut, and tan) and her name on the thumb We are definitely a Vinci house.
I posted on here several years back about our HC brought in a college coach to run our practice one Saturday. She got all the girls in a circle all the way around her, she had all the girls hold their gloves out at arms length and drop them and take two steps back......Anna had her custom Vinci and the HC's DD had a brand new Mizuno Global Elite, that college coach went around that circle looking at gloves and would stop at every girl and say "you need a new glove now, like today!"
Every girl but those two were told that and then after practice she made a point to tell the parents.........why? To cut down on glove related errors but mainly the safety aspect of it, a well made stiff, firm, hard glove just offers more safety and protection! And the main culprit was........that old brown & tan Mizuno classic that always retailed for $189.00, seems like a pretty expensive glove but was just soaked down with oil from Mizuno. You could have it game ready in less than a week, and all these girls had been using them for over two years already, they were beyond floppy and had actually gotten dangerous!

FYI the mitt you sent one of my girls that played for me still uses that mitt, loves it. In fact her teammate the other C, asks to borrow it when she gets the dish.... Thanks again
That's great to hear and you're very welcome! Man, that palm has got to be close to paper thin now, but the good thing is those Mizuno's had such a huge pocket/web!
