I addition to the Miz wrap thingy, I have been known to stuff gloves between couch cushions (with a ball in the pocket). I have an All-Star fielders glove in our family room couch right now.

What model All-Star did you buy? Besides catching, what other positions does Maddie play?

In addition to catcher, she plays 1B and 3B. She has played everywhere (I don't recommend using her at a P - lol). She is currently using a Worth Liberty Advanced, and it has served her well for the past 2+ years of TB, but it's starting to show signs of reaching the end of it's life. I'm getting the break-in process started on the All-Star. It's going to take a little while. I've always like All-Star gloves. This one confirms why I like them - great leather, great construction, good looks, light weight.

When I had Maddie try this glove 2 years ago, she didn't like the 3-finger design - "it feels weird". She's been using the finger shift in all her gloves for about a year. Now, this glove feels perfect for her.

I've always thought that was a great looking glove, hope she enjoys it. All-Star makes a quality glove, I was responsible for warming up our pitchers during the games this weekend, the complex we played at had bullpens in every dugout. We have a great mix of pitchers from flame throwers to crazy spinners. I was telling Anna that my All-Star CMW3000 is absolutely perfect now, I couldn't ask for a better catchers mitt! The pocket just wraps up a ball perfect and it sounded like a shotgun going off during the game!

After the end of this year I'll probably send it off to Rous and have it relaced in the stiffest tan lace I can find, I think the tan would look good with the black & blonde, or maybe I just love tan lace:cool:

When using finger shift (tip) does the index finger shift too? Do you abandoned the index finger hole completely? Do you still put index finger outside the glove?

DD is using AS CMW3000, almost a year old now (she is first year 12u), and I agree, love the pop on this, really loud on most catches, she loves that!

Right Here For Now
Emily has had a CMW3000 the last 2 years of TB and her first year of college ball as well as this season. She wipes it down every 6 months or so, adds a light coat of Lanolin and it's still going strong for her second year. It needed to be relaced over the Summer, which I did, but she's never giving this one up unless it's for another which would have to properly broken in beforehand.

The pop comes from timing the catch that's why it only happens on most catches and no all of them
