ACK - another gear question (this time, focused on the short catcher)

Predicting sizing can be tricky, and has a lot to do with how your kid is put together. My 11yo DD (5'-3") is a whole lot of legs, and a short torso. Currently she's in a 14.5" ProMo chest and is just about out of 14.5" All-Star legs.

Measure her shin from the middle of the knee cap to the top of the foot and for the chest protector from the collar bone under the chin to the waist. Then go to you favorite retailer and select them individually by the measurements you have. From what you have described she will probably fit most youth sizes. Also, look in the men's, boys catchers gear section as they will have a larger selection and it is the same gear usually cheaper. Unfortunately, this time of year color selection is not very good unless you want green or cardinal.

My DD#2 is 5'2" and she is still wearing her Lousiville youth we bought her 3 years ago.
