DD is 9 and has been catching about a year in a backup role. Got her first opportunity last weekend to fill the “everyday” role playing 10UB. Pretty cool to watch her sell out on every pitch to keep everything in front. #BuildTheWall #NoE2

I'm sure that made her catching coach smile. Great block, up on her feet quick, avoided the moving batter and made a perfect throw to 3d for the out.

Her catching coach was ecstatic. He said next time for her to consider drawing an obstruction call vs trying to throw over the obstructing batter

She is leaps and bounds better than last year at this time. Very cool to see when all that training “clicks.”

So Cal
Very nicely done!!!

I don't agree with intentionally trying to get an interference call. If that happens, fine, but you can't count on getting that call. I want my catcher doing what it takes the out. Read the situation and find a clear throwing lane.
