After all the camps, clinics and visits, I finally saw Kenzie fall in love with “her” school this week. From the campus to coaches, players, class sizes, even the cafeteria! Everyone says you will know when you find your school and I saw it all over Kenzie’s face from the time we arrived that morning until she accepted an offer from the coach that afternoon!

She will play softball for Maryville College in East TN while working towards her goal of becoming a pharmacist. Maryville is a D3 playing in the USA South Conference and are reigning conference champions.

Selfishly, the best part for mom and dad is Maryville is only 30 minutes from the house! We will still get to watch her play!

Ah, I know that school! Had a gf that went there back when I was a senior in HS. Also rode right by it all the time heading to 129. Maryville is also a very nice town.

This is fantastic, when everything falls together like this.
I know from experience what a relief it is when your kid finds, and is accepted to, Dream School.

In a previous lifetime I used to teach chemistry, esp, organic chemistry, to pharmacy students. Pharmacy can be a fantastic career.

Best of luck to your DD.

My daughter played against Maryville last year. They are a good team with a very good pitcher. They seemed like a solid program with good coaching. Congrats to your daughter. There are a lot of advantages in playing for a d3 team.

Best of luck to her. Pharmacy is a great profession, school is tough but well worth it. (take that from a pharmacist)

I'm guessing she will be in a 6 year program, how will that affect how many years she can play?

PM me if you have any pharmacy profession questions.

Very nice! Congratulations. We were down there for a camp last month since they are one of the few schools that offer the major my daughter is interested in. It was a nice looking campus and softball field.

We were there for the camp. DD caught in the first scrimmage game. Did they play with/against each other?
