I have to do another shameless brag on DD. She has hit three more home runs this weekend in 4 games. We still have at least one more game tomorrow. The one she hit tonight was probably her best one yet. Knocked a solid line drive over the head of the first baseman. DD was almost to 2nd when the right fielder got the ball and made a great throw to the 2nd baseman. Problem was DD was already gone and on her way to 3rd! 2nd baseman thru to 3rd and the ball got there about the same time DD did, but her coach never hesitated and was telling go for home the entire time. 3rd baseman never stood a chance to make the tag as DD blew by at full speed digging for home. By now the crowd was going nuts and she was charging hard. 3rd baseman thru it home trying to get her, but throw was a little high and off line just enough to pull the catcher out of the way. Even though the catcher caught it, she had no chance of making the tag. She has really come alive with her batting since All-Stars started. She started out hitting slow grounders towards SS/3RD and now she is now mixing in some solid line drives over the infield.
