Yea our HS team has been pretty dominate within our league. Haven't lost a league game up until last week.Which that ended up being a great thing after all . Below is from our local Fontucky community paper. Pretty cool to see the girls get interviewed. Plus Warriorangela's name in the paper is a sweet bonus .

Jurupa Hills softball team routs Indian Springs, 19-1; see video highlights

It's been another fine season so far for the Jurupa Hills softball team, which is hoping to achieve its third straight San Andreas League championship.

"There are 11 seniors on the team this year, so we've spent a lot of time together and we have great chemistry," said Faith Benavente, who slugged a grand slam home run in the Spartans' 19-1 rout of Indian Springs on April 26.

Benavente also supplied two singles in the game as the Spartans produced a total of 20 hits to support the strong pitching of Angela Guerrero, who allowed three hits and struck out five batters. Guerrero also contributed at the plate with a triple and two singles.

"Everyone stayed tough on offense and defense," said India Kelly, who went 4-for-5 with a double, three singles, three runs, and five runs batted in. "We kept pushing through, even though it was an easy win."

Isabel Rocco agreed, saying: "We don't stop once we score 15 runs; we keep pushing and working as a team."

Samantha Sandoval bashed two doubles and a single, scored two runs, and drove in three runs.

"Everyone is coming together and bonding, and we're getting stronger and stronger every year," Sandoval said.

Ja'Sha Roberts agreed that the team has continued to improve.

"We're a better hitting team and we do well on defense this year," said Roberts, who obtained two singles, two runs, and one RBI.

Sarah Rengifo added: "Our chemistry has gotten better. I love these girls; they're like my family."

Sophia Guevara smashed a triple, scored a run, and drove in three runs.

Mia Cervantes singled twice and scored two runs, and Kailynn Robinson acquired a double and an RBI.
