New here but been lurking.
So my DD has played in some 8u Rec Tourneys before, but was stuck in the outfield and batting last. But over the past year (she is still 9) she has made a bunch of headway. Played in her first 10u tourney this weekend and batted 4 hole and played third all weekend. (I didn't make the line up lol).
Of course I have confidence in her but was still nervous of course. First swing of the tourney that all went away. Three run (inside the park) HR. The ball one hopped the fence. Now she is slow as the day is long but she got it. lol.
A couple more doubles and some good play at third for a great tourney for her. She did face for the first time ever some real pitchers and struggled but I'm glad she saw them.
