Another nor'easter on the way, and my girls wanted to get some practice in before it gets bad. How can I not be proud of their determination, practicing at that temperature, with sleet falling the whole time.

Wonder how long it is going to take me to warm up. My fingers can barely type.

That's cold. I almost turned into an icicle when our girls were playing in 43 degree weather last week.

Game temp today is supposed to be around 43-44, so I'll probably be dressed for a blizzard. :)

Practice tonight at 6. It'll be 45 and damp... hoping coach calls it off. Frick do I (and DD) hate cold weather. 20 degrees? Screw that!!!!

LOL. I know I'm such a pansy when it's "cold". I hope y'all get some playing time in soon. GL.

Thanks. Sunday is supposed to be my DDs' first outdoor team practice since October. DD1 has been counting down the days until Sunday. We are in the middle of the area of the storm that is supposed to get 10"-14" of snow. Not looking good for a practice on Sunday.

If I had known both of my girls were going to be this into softball, maybe I might have moved a bit south a long time ago.

My DD has pitched in cold weather (including some snow showers or sleet) a number of times.

Two words: Hand Warmers.

Around the Upper Midwest, no pitcher can survive "spring" without them. Sometimes they are needed in June.
