Last week DD had the last middle school softball game of her career. She's one of 2 girls that made the team all 3 years of middle school. Next time she plays for a school team she will be a freshman. Overall a pretty decent result finishing 3rd in the southern Illinois state championship. Over 25 games she batted .571 with 3 home runs, and her first ever over the fence home run in a very pivotal moment. I'm very proud of how hard she has worked. I think it was 2 or 3 years ago I joined this forum asking for some help to get her bat going lol. At that time her average was probably well below .200. Fast forward to now and she's a completely different hitter in the batter box. Cannonball needs a special shout out for working with DD a little over the past two summers. Because of his guidance she hits the ball as hard as any 100 lb. kid I've seen. I know MS ball can be kind of a mixed bag, but it's the end of one chapter for DD and another chapter to start soon.
