I think your husband did terrible yesterday. He should be banned from the sport. My DD's head coach was pretty friggin awesome though. Was a fun day at the park for sure.

DD's coach told her this week that last week's pitching performance (two runs in two innings) wasn't good enough and he needs more from her. So this week she delivered - in two innings, no one hit a ball further than just inside the circle.

She's definitely making an impression on her coach.

DD guest played this weekend. Her batting was great Saturday but then struggled on Sunday. She had a great hit that hit right field fence...scoring 2 runs and making it to 3rd. She pitched 6 complete games with the semi-finals and finals back to back. Ended up losing to a very well known and talented team whose record is 16-3. The first time they played, dd team should of won but had too many errors. That team had speed and will take advantage of any errors made...especially against a team that hardly ever make an error. The championship game, the opposing team were just overall better that game. The pitcher on the other team is an phenomenal athlete that I am sure will see playing college ball. My dd had attended a couple of camps with her.

So DD finally got one of these First ever over the fence home run!


Middle school state championship started Saturday. Talk about an amazing game. The other teams pitcher was throwing straight heat. Normally MS games are kind of meh, but this one was as exiting as they come. At one point I looked around and 80% of the people at the facility were watching our game.It was a back & forth game, top of the 6th with us down 6-4. Runner on first with two outs and my 100 lb. DD comes up to bat. First pitch bunts foul, second pitch slap foul. Third pitch was upper fifties belt high and DD just hammered it over the right center fence to tie it up. Momentum changed big time, and we won 9-6 in 8 innings.
