DD's MS team had their last double-header yesterday and ended the regular season 9-0-1..
These last games were probably the best two games DD has played.
First game she was 3-4 and second game she made some awesome plays at SS (and still reached base 2-3) - it was their first SO of the season also. Even with her less than stellar hitting this season, she has managed to have the 3rd most RBIs.

Also, not my kid, but our only 6th grader on the team - she had an awesome hit a few games back where it landed in the warning track so it was super close. Yesterday, she finally got it over! So proud of her!

We just have a EOS tournament in a week or so..
We were playing in the B-level but because of our record, they might move us up to play against the A-level teams for the tournament. Might be a little harder.

Good luck.

We did get bumped up so now we are #7 seed in the top bracket since there were originally 8 teams in that division and the two lowest teams moved down and our #1 and #2 moved up.
HC didn't want it to happen since she wanted our girls to be able to play at their level (it's not like we were blowing out any teams)
Our first game in the tournament is against a team we played last season (a majority of that team is back) and we did not do well against them at all. We're better this year but then, so are they...

Tournament did not go well. We were shut out for the first game, but managed to put some points on the board the second, but our defense could not handle them. Some of it was just mental mistakes and balls that should have been caught but we were just outplayed.
Trying not to be bitter about the fact that two of the teams we beat during the regular season went on to win their championship games.
Originally we were split into two divisions. For the EOS, they split into four - where we were put in the top bracket.
Two teams we beat in the regular season pretty badly were placed in the bottom bracket. They ended up playing each other in that championship game.
Not sure why they had to split into 4 brackets but it ultimately lead to a weird split of teams and so the two teams from our division that got moved up, lost both of our games.
I wish they had given the teams the option about moving up - I can see moving a team down a level but it should be a choice to move up if you felt you were not challenged enough. Makes it seem like you should try for 3rd place instead of 1 or 2 :/

Even so DD did make some good plays and was one of very few girls in the first game to make contact with the ball. Ended the season with 2nd most RBIs and tied for fewest K's (only 2)

If you finished last in a higher bracket you still finished higher than everyone else in every lower bracket.

Absolutely. Whenever my DD wins or gets a second place in the Silver bracket she immediately figures out how many teams were in the top bracket and adds that many places to her finish. DD's goal is now to face the best pitchers at the park that weekend. She doesn't care if that means they play the toughest teams in every game.
