Monday brag 6-5-17

DD beasted this weekend. Don't know what her batting average was but the other coaches kept asking me if she was batting 1.000. She hit one combacker to the pitcher that was weak. She had one swing and miss all weekend! Defense was solid too. Made diving backhand snare on a ball hit just right of center. She also made a beautiful lefty flip to first while fielding a bunt down the 1st base line in a crucial situation. She pitched great against this giant team, seemed like every girl was 6' 180lbs+, never seen a team that big. She kept them off balance and battled the whole game.

Her team was decimated by injuries. Catcher received 5 stitches on her throwing hand on the first day and our 3rd basemen badly hyper extended her knee in thursdays practice. 3rd baseman showed a lot of heart and played 1st for us during the tourney. Without her we would have had 8, we lost one player on Sunday because she had to attend a reality TV show audition lol. Team took 2nd in the loser whoops I mean silver bracket. The girls improved every game they played. Its going to be a fun season!

DD's TB team played a tourney this past weekend. They really sucked it up - only got to play 1 bracket game and got eliminated. DD had some nice defensive plays including an unassisted double play. Had one monster 3 run homer that cleared the 10' high adult fence and into the trees.

We went to MS and won a berth to 18U ASA Gold Nationals in Clearwater, FL.
