Travel Ball tryout

DD guested at a scrimmage for a Travel Ball 14U team and attended a pitcher and catchers session with the team on a prior night. All the girls asked her what organization she played for now and no one believed her that she didn't play TB. The best was at the scrimmage talking to an assistant coach about play time and who the number one catcher was on the team, "Coaches daughter is the #1, but with the way your DD is playing she wont be anymore if she decides to play here". Girls were calling DD the "Brick Wall". Needless to say I was very proud of her.

Be careful if your DD plays the same position as the coaches DD.

Head Coaches daughter is one of the main pitchers on the team, probably a close second to one of the other girls. I think she just happens to be their best catching option at the moment.

This is unfortunately true in some cases.... but not as much on bigger organizations. The smaller the program, the greater the liklihood of daddy ball rearing it's ugly head
