Here too. She hasn't played since PCB in July. We're picking up the next 2 weekends then our team finally plays the last weekend in Sep. She'll have had 6 weeks off with just minimal practicing by this weekend. It's good she got a breather but she's ready to play.

Ahh the crazy travel softball month of August. First official practice with new Org tonight. Not really excited about this as I would have liked the old Org to still be there as the manager was fantastic. However due to a few parents within the Org it appears that's gone. Only part of this that is a brag is the new Org is a bigger name and will always be in the top tournaments around the nation.

My only brag is that DD asked for me to ship her some soft balls since they aren't allowed to use the schools on off days and she wants to practice on those days too.. She said no one will out work her!

Jake in town from SC for the weekend. She spent 5 hours on Sunday helping me with a pitching clinic for our TB team. The girls learned lots and loved working with someone who is living their dream.

During our team practice on Saturday morning, I kept my mouth shut as I watched and listened to Maddie instruct a new catcher on the fundamentals of proper blocking mechanics. Maddie did a great job teaching, and the other player seemed to respond well to the instruction. I'm super-proud of that kid.

DD is 15, she has and does help some younger pitchers. I take a walk, my micromanage self wants to get involved.

DD#2 played this weekend... Same team that she finished the year with with some new additions to fill the gaps... Overall the team did well but there was a lot of "rust"... Managed to win the small local tournament but no way that performance will work for the tournaments coming up...

DD did well pitched two complete games and gave up 4 hits and one earned run (two runs on the day) but she wasn't happy with her at bats on Saturday... I thought it was ok for the first competitive ball in about a month but she worked the tee yesterday which is usually her off day...
