    there were a lot of dominate pitchers at that tournament and the announcers were talking about how to fix that by moving the rubber back. but in a 1-0 game where making every single simple play is critical i don't think there is anything that needs to be fixed.

    Oregon did the same thing in game 2 vs ucla. lucky for them they had a big lead. in game 3 they kept everything low at the end.

    i think a pitchers' pitches should be looked at relative to themselves. a bullet spin drops less pitch and a drop pitch combo can be effective.

    i have tried all kinds of "show it n feed it" and the kids always like the arm circle better, more like really hitting they say. call it stupid if you like, but the kids i coach like it.

    Hitting machine

    this is how i do it also. two balls with an arm circle to bump second ball in. seems to work good with fewer miss feeds. when it does happen and their swing gets going to soon, that is my change up. :)

    How is your favorite college team doing this season?

    soaking up the sun in florida and took dds to see oregon vs usf in tampa. we were all very impressed. first college game at that level. actually saw a groundskeeper knocked out by a foul ball way way gone home run.
