We had an old 30" Miken Icon one-piece that changed hands several times, looked like it had been drug behind a truck on a gravel road for many miles. That little bat was hot as a match, probably still wasn't broken in?
I’ve always had the mindset to get young girls into a balanced -10 bat as soon as possible. She should be swinging the heaviest bat that she can still swing properly.

You won't find a bigger All-Star catchers mitt fan than me! But those light colored dyed laces and the Pittard's liner have me questioning the durability! With the Pittard's liner, no doubt it'll be the most comfortable mitt right out the box, the Pittard's liners on the Pro Preferred Rawlings...
No I agree with you there, it's just the JD pattern is definitely a man's glove, huge palm, which in turn leads to a huge hand stall. This is the only time I've ever heard of a female using a JD pattern, but hey, if it works.....
Kind of similar to a RV23, I'd never recommend one for a girl to use.
Very solid, very sturdy stiff leather, but with probably no palm pad (don't know this for sure, didn't see it listed) and the Six-Finger trap web, it'll be a breeze to break in. There's really no break-in to that web other than the laces.
And this pattern broken-in and worn TIP, it should be...
