Watching a one sided chess match
Sometimes it feels like only one of the two opposing coaches is really there at the field. I was watching a win or go home section game with two teams playing that I have no stake in, bottom of 7th tie game, runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. USSSA Nationals in Kansas vs ASA Northern
Have attended both. I think that both do a great job and the competition level is pretty equivalent. Big factor for me in planning for the future is that ASA has cropped it's regional tournaments down to 4 days (5 if it draws tons of teams). I've encountered this with one hitting coach and a former college player that were big believers in this drill, I'm not sold Pitcher is behind batter throws toss to batter, batter hits ball while ball is in forward progress.
