Oh the joy, been absent from the forum for almost a year and come back to a great thread with Bill and BoardMember And getting a good laugh. Thanks Bill. By the way, your influence lives on as I yelled to Sam pitching Saturday “Bill’s number 1”. Got that Riseball going. 😎. Then today I did...
I just read a thread where someone asked for advise. By page two, Boardmember and Hillhouse had both responded and you people kep giving advice. Once Boardmember and Hillhouse responded, that thread was over. No need to compete with their advice. 😎
There is some really great info here and I may end up repeating what some have set. I have watched coaches call my DD who obviously had no clue, I have watched coaches call my DD who called what they wanted with success at the early ages 10u and 12u but as the hitters got better, "Their...
How disappointing so far. My DD makes varsity and is the main pitcher as a freshman. Now after 3 games it has become obvious that the HC has no clue how to call pitches much less coach the girls on offense or defense. He has continued to call curveballs over and over though my daughter has...
Got to throw 20 pitches tonight with it just to test. Read all but 1 time. I was impressed that the speed registered the same as my pocket radar most of the time. I guess I wasn’t expecting it to be that accurate. Used the blue tooth to a speaker also, was great to have it announced each...
My wife wakes me up at 5 am this morning to tell me that I have an email stating they are not selling them. She wanted to know if I wanted 1 ball or 2. Needless to say she had purchased them before I ever got out of bed. :)
Bill, look at either prosper/McKinney TX or The Woodlands/Conroe TX. Both have the $ and a high volume of softball players. Houston’s winters are much milder than Dallas.
Recently I have been having a discussion with a couple of friends (both former TB coaches, ones a pitchers dad and ones a catchers dad) and my wife about a very common trend I see in softball. My DD has played on high level A teams and what I would refer to as low A teams as well. Though it is...
OU likes to throw curve that stays outside the plate and then breaks over plate at the last minute, that’s my best guess for that first pick. The other may be her screw.
“Please don't feel "dorky" taking the video discount. I know a lot of people on this forum already have them or I'm sure more people would take the same deal.
Don’t feel dorky for taking the discount, feel dorky for buying the videos. Everyone knows Bill’s style will make you go blind...
I have an indoor cage in my shop. It is 50’ long, 12’ Wide, 12 tall. We pitch and hit. You can easily get by with a 60x10x10. I wish I had built my shop 5’ longer, it would help me on pitching. I bought reclaimed football field turf for the flooring.
After several years of dad coaches my daughter finally got a former D1 coach on a high level travelball team. We were very exited about it at first. It was the worst experience we have had in travel softball. She was young and arrogant. It almost caused my daughter to quit the sport she so...
I have an older jugs machine with the digital speed screen. When I turn it on it starts spinning and getting faster then it cuts out starts slowing down then cuts back on. It continues this cycle. Does anyone know what the fix is?
