    Tarps that cover the whole IF

    You will not believe how heavy those tarps are with rain. Also you have to have some type of sand based strip drain in the outfield for the water drain after the tarp is flipped. Otherwise your outfield would be flooded

    Dd is freshman varsity catcher. Coach wants her to straddle home near the apex on tag plays at home. I have never heard of this. She has always put her left heel near the left front corner of the plate. Opinions on straddling home.

    Low pitch

    Does anyone know how to teach catching a low pitch just below the knees. I know how high level boys do it but not sure on girls due to the size of the ball. Because if you flip the glove over you just told the ump it was a ball. Dd went to necc durning the summer but they did not work on that.

    We are having the soil tested now to see what amendments need to be add. Then will till that stuff into the top three inches. Looking just to have existing layered to level. I could probably level with a string line grading. But that could take a while on a softball field.

    Cooling shirts under uniform

    DD is a catcher I was wondering if anyone has used a cooling shirt. Yesterday after one of those long innings I saw her face. I could tell she was overheating. Cooled her off with towel from cooler. But was wondering if anyone has worn a cooling shirt or recommend one.
