    Mound improvements between innings.

I've been seeing actual pitch clocks at games and if the umpire isn't enforcing the 90 seconds between innings I guess the opposing coach needs to complain.

    Mound improvements between innings.

NCAA has a 90 second time limit between innings. So, if the pitcher wants their warm up pitches they better get the circle prepped real quick. 6.7.1 For all games (media or non-media), teams are allowed a maximum of 90 seconds between half innings and at the start of the game for warmups. The...

Placement of foot in front of the rubber

NFHS, USA and USSSA all just say in contact.

    Wristbands vs traditional signs

Pitcher can receive a signal anytime, there is no restriction on when the pitcher can recieve a signal in any club ball ruleset I am aware of. NCAA is the one that restricts the pitcher until they are on the pitching plate. But, they must at least simulate taking a signal from the catcher...

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

Because it's NCAA. They have to mess with everything.

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

Its to keep pitchers from going way outside the width of the pitching plate and throwing the ball at an extreme angle across the plate. When NCAA first implemented the lines, they were nicknamed the Mowatt lines after a UofA pitcher. You can probably find videos on youtube of her pitching.

    Leaping? Or replanting?

The video from NFHS finally was made available on youtube.

    USSSA approved drying agent

If you want to message me with what states you are from and your email addresses, my contact said he would have your state UIC for USSSA email you the ruling directly.

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

Not true? You may want to read the NCAA rules. From page 21 of NCAA rules: Pitcher’s lane 8-foot lines drawn within the outer edges of the pitcher’s plate toward the inside edges of the inside front corners of the batter’s boxes; 24 inches wide at the pitcher’s plate and 25 inches wide where...

    USSSA approved drying agent

It was specifically listed back in the 2011 rulebook as well as the USA (at the time ASA) rulebook. For whatever reason, both removed the specific address of it by name in later rulebooks, which would align with the statement that they do not want reference a product by name. NFHS said the...

    USSSA approved drying agent

@richard straight from the National Director of officials and rules editor for usssa: “Gorilla gold is the only approved drying agent other than dirt and powdered resin. We don’t see the need to reference a product by name in the rule book”

    USSSA approved drying agent

Please point out where I said one word about the manufacturer claimed it was legal in usssa? According to a usssa state UIC I know it is perfectly legal in usssa. He says it is in their casebook and is supposed to be getting me a reference.

    Hitting fly balls

Practice. I tried a fungo and it hurt my hands worse than just using a normal bat.

    NC Top Gun Tournament Rules

That is the most screwed up set of rules I have ever seen. The claim to use NFHS rules, but then except about everything that makes them NFHS rules. And they use the NFHS DH rule, well there isnt any NFHS DH rule. But if you use the NFHS DH rule that doesnt exist you can only bat 9. I have...

    USSSA approved drying agent

Every drying agent can be used illegally, so what is your point?
  16. C

    USSSA approved drying agent

Its my understanding it is legal in just about every ruleset. I cannot find anything specific from USSSA that spells it out.

    College rule flex/pinch runner

Not according to their rules. The flex may only be on offense in the DP position.

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

If the foot is touching the line it is considered in. The only time in NCAA that is not the case is a batters foot when contacting the ball.
  19. C

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

The umpire should not allow the game to be played until the lines are removed. They are not NFHS markings and should not be on the field.

Are pitchers required to stay within the 24” lines?

As I tell people all the time, never try to apply any other ruleset to NCAA, or NCAA to any other ruleset. There are far more differences than there are similarities. Its not much, but they do physically flare out. Pitcher’s lane 8-foot lines drawn within the outer edges of the pitcher’s...
