    Help with Decision

I don't think I am putting any pressure on her and the commute doesn't bother me at all. It is actually relaxing after a day at work. And I was leaning to leaving her with the 8u team but after reading the comments will probably go to both tryouts and see what the other organization is about...

    Help with Decision

My DD played on a 8U team this year as a 7yo. Team was about an hour from where we live. Although the organization has had success with the older age groups they struggled this year with the 8u. It was thier first year for this age group. Tryouts for this organization is this coming weekend...

Why I do not advocate 8u TB

The players pitch and as stated above you would be suprised how well some throw. Occassionally you will see a few that struggle but for the most part all throw strikes. Most tournaments have a one hour fifteen minute timelimit. We usually get 4-5 innings completed.

Why I do not advocate 8u TB

My daughter is playing on a 8u TB team this summer. She also plays on a local little league team. The TB team started playing in tournaments at the end of May and so far they have played in five tournaments. Only one of the tournaments was far enough away (2.5 hours) that required overnight...

    -13 Softball Bat

Someone on my daughter's 10U Little League team uses a -13 bat. One of the other player's parent seen the bat and said she was not allowed to use the bat. They stated that bats need to be -12 or under. I think they are confusing baseball and softball. I have not seen anything in the Little...

LL Regionals vs. Nationals with travel team

Information below is to clarify the innings allowed for LL All Star tournament. I am assuming your daughter is playing in a 11-12 yo Junior softball division. 1. One pitch delivered counts as a inning pitched. 2. Ten innnings max pitched in one day. 3. Less than five innings pitched in...

    8U moving up to 10U

We decided to keep her down in 8U this year. Next year she will still be eligible for 8U and we will probably look at moving her up then. She wanted to stay down and play with her friends. Plus, I don't think my older daughter wanted her on the team. Next year my older daughter moves up to 12U.

    8U moving up to 10U

My daughter just turned 8 (league age 7) and is playing in the local rec league. She played last year (league age 6) on the 8U team and excelled. One of the 10U coaches has asked me to think about moving her up this year to 10U. There are two teams for this age group in our league. I see alot...

    Catcher @ 8U Level

I appreciate the comments, both postive and negative. You have to be able to take criticism. I will be the first to admit I am not an expert in softball. I am a baseball guy who started young, played through HS and still try to goof around a little bit, thats why I am here getting other...

    Catcher @ 8U Level

I probably am overthinking it. She doesnt care were she plays as long as she is playing. She hits alright but not with much power. She was the leadoff hitter for both teams and usuallly got a hit 9 out of ten times with the majority going down 3rd base line. It wasn't until the fall that...

    Catcher @ 8U Level

My 6yo played in the 8u rec league this past summer and fall. She is a pretty good ball player at that level. She started in a infield position, subbed in @ 1st base at times and was the only 6yo to make the tournament team. I have helped coach with the manager of the team for two years in...
