Thanks guys. Some really good feedback to work on. First tournament back from the lockdown was yesterday. Hit .875 but was lacking some real mashed shots. She may have been throttling back a bit due to not having live action in 4 months. I agree she has some more horsepower in her we can...
My daughter (17 y/o 5'6 135lb) switched from Xenos to LXT about 9 months ago and likes it better. Just as hot but with a bigger sweetspot per her. Swings 34/24. The LXT seems more durable than the Xeno for whatever reason.
What drills or swing thoughts to that end? She has been taught to center the ball up except on high or riseball pitches. Then she aims at the top of the ball, ends up hitting center to bottom. She has never tried to hit the bottom half of the ball really, just center it up and hit it hard...
"Where does she hit? Pull field, middle, opposite? Anything that you think she needs to address?"
She is a low ball hitter, handles everything middle to down in the zone very well. As the ball gets up in the zone she starts to be less successful. Hits mostly dead center to the 5-6 hole...
Gotcha. When you typed "met" I thought you meant she had done that. Think you meant "meet" as in thats what she should do. Threw me off. What would you suggest as a drill, swing thought, or adjustment to that end?
Are these a little better angle as far as hitting slightly up and through?
Daughter is going to play in college this Fall and hits well. Good power for her size of 5'6 135 lbs. Fast hands which make her get out in front on slower stuff. Does the contact point look to far out or is her extension making it passable. Highest exit speed we have clocked was 72.
Any feedback on these two? I know the traditional differences. Also know certain year models can be better or worse than previous years. That is basically what I am wondering. Is it a good Xeno year? Is it a good LXT year?
Thats why he had the tryout in July. Trying to pressure players into joining before the other teams have tryouts. Sounds like he is feeling the pressure.
Debuted our Ghost at Elite Futures Showcase last week near Atlanta. That will be important later. I personally used it in pre-game infield/outfield warm ups. I could feel more vibration on miss hits when I was hitting grounders and fly balls than with DD's LXT, which I usually use. About...
