Question,
The WIAA ( Wisconsin’s sports body) has implemented a new NFS rule stating that teams only have one minute between innings to be ready for the next.
What is the reasoning behind this rule (Games move right along in about an hour and a half)? And who brought this “Issue” to light?

Rules question for high school softball umpires. Batter bunts ball in fair territory, drops bat in fair territory and ball rolls into bat. Out or no? Plate ump calls batter out, then talks with base umpires and call is changed to safe.

An interesting hour long program on media coverage of women's sports in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul). Main fact is "Women account for 40 percent of participants in sports but get only 4 percent of the coverage". If you have an hour take a look at the link below...Twin Cities Public...
DD is three for three in a her HS game last week (all were off the handle flares that landed in front of the outfielders). Comes up to bat for a fourth time and gets down 0-2. Fouls off several pitches and takes three that were out of the strike zone so it is 3-2. Next pitch is a change that...
Question to go with the most overlooked/under coached position thread...Are outfielders at the higher levels of just former infielders or have they been playing the outfield all along?
My experience is that with a few exceptions they are former infielders that were moved to the outfield.
Another winter storm warning for tonight into Tuesday with 4-8 inches of fresh snow possible. It looks like it is going to be a three week season this year. I really feel bad for the Seniors who are having their last season of High School Ball stolen from them by Mother Nature.
We had two dome...
One more snow storm to add to the piles of snow around the head of the lakes. 6"-9" "With locally heavier amounts expected" Thursday into Friday morning. When...Will...It...End.
On the bright side, two dome games on the cities on Friday (If we can get there).
Praying for rain.
After several weeks worth of work (Sno-blowing, throwing snow, pushing water, chopping ice, draging) we finally got the field in good enough shape for practice and were hoping to have a game tonight. Mother nature came along and dumped 7 inches of snow and added a howling 45-50 mile an hour...
Looking for opinions on a pitching mask for my daughter. She is making the jump from 14U to 16U and has had some close calls. She claims she dosen't need one but I have a different take on that. Any help would be appreciated as far as best fit and feel.
Went pretty deep into the posts here and...
Has anyone played in any of the Dome tournaments (Irish/Dells) and if so any comments recomendations about them. Have a team up here going next year and wanted to know more about the fields/Domes.
Thanks!
Here at the tip of Lake Superior the last few days have felt like spring and it makes me want to get outside and practice. Along those lines, when does High School ball start in your city, town or village? We don't get going until early March and it is indoors until April.
We are a 14U ASA "B" team and I want to know if we can wear a bright "Sign Green" t-shirt and still be within the rules. The color is not yellow but is quite close to the color of the ball. I looked in the rule book but was not able to find anything about uniform color. Our pants are solid navy...
