    Is it time to leave?

Absolutely. If she decided to leave there certainly be no ill will. I think in there hearts they believe what they are doing is the most appropriate. We simply disagree.

    Is it time to leave?

I understand this view, I just don't agree with it.

    Is it time to leave?

Fantastic post and appreciate the perspective. Genuinely helpful.

    Is it time to leave?

She did. Simple fact is that the reality turned out to be different than the spoken word.

    Is it time to leave?

Great point. I'm already starting to feel this.

Always appreciate your view sluggers, thanks.

    Is it time to leave?

See previous comment on what kind of showcase team they are. Not a national program. I'd put her somewhere around 6 or 7 in the lineup. Above most of the coaches kids though. Just saying. On the pitcher hitting thing, I can think of three of four right away off the top of my head. I...

    Is it time to leave?

I don't know...they're smaller and go to showcase tourneys. All coaches are Dad's though with kids on the team. But I don't quite understand your logic, she can only expect playtime when a college coach is there to see her? That makes no sense. ON the promoting players thing I don't think...

    Is it time to leave?

Had the chat, really got nowhere. And regarding the jump over 16U I feel the same. No one's ever been able to give me a good reason for the jump.

    Is it time to leave?

Here’s the situation: First year 16U playing 18U showcase. DD is a pitcher and came to the team use to splitting defensive time when not pitching. Only left last team because the coaching staff decided to call it quits - they were an excellent team. On new team she’s 1 of 3 pitchers and after...

    Short term goals for pitching

Firmly agree here. What would be acceptable goals for each of these for a first year 16U pitcher?

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Mr. Hillhouse, this is tremendously helpful. Regarding release point, any recommendations on how to dial that release point in better? We've started using the pitching straps that were recommended earlier to create the right height of tunnel after release. Seems to be helping a bit but once...

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Interesting! I'll have that chat. Funny thing is her primary catcher says her curve often looks "kind of like a rise." It's an odd observation because the spin is most certainly 3-9/4-10 with the dot slightly dipped forward toward the catcher. It sort of hovers like the old school flying...

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Am feeling like we're starting to head down this road. Think it's time to chat with the PC to get the riseball introduced? Or maybe we go through this season continuing to work the curve and drop. She basicall moves in and out well locating the FB, throws a fairly effective CU (Hits spot 40%...

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Great advice. Doing now. Initial results show a "wiggling" ball coming in. Not bullet spin, but what i would consider less effective 12/6 spin. On to something I think. This would indicate a mechanics/release issue right.

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Hi everyone, I know I owe a lot of people a lot of responses on this thread. Wow, can't get over the wealth and learning that is possible here. So before I went ahead and started the process of catching up I thought I would pass along a heartfelt thanks. Can't tell you how much I've (we've)...

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

When you say "the pitch has to be spotted correctly.", can you explain a little more? What specifically (height at plate, height 4 feet out, height 8 feet out) should a pitcher be trying to do when it comes to locating the drop ball? Are you saying it has to be located appropriately? If yes...

"Pronation Drop"? Can you expand? Or provide a link?

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

Just ordered the Tincher band you mentioned. We'll give it a try. Her PC uses them and I do see it help when we're there.

Help! Lack of Drop Ball Bite

This is sort of what I was thinking as well, as a layperson of course. She's 5'4" so not super tall and not "big handed" so to speak. As to feeling the difference, I'll have to ask her...not something I've thought to ask. I'll get back to you on that one.
