What's the worst thing you had to give up/pass on for softball?

Believe me, it was really hard to pass, but I own three businesses and between her softball and my son's baseball I'd be gone 22 days out of the month July. With payroll and other things it was just too hard.

What's the worst thing you had to give up/pass on for softball?

My mother-in-law is paying for an Alaskan cruise, all we have to do is show up. Well, the dates she picked we'll be coming back from Myrtle Beach on the day the cruise leaves. Tried looking at other dates but softball and my sons baseball just wouldn't let it happen.

Professional editing of emails to college coaches.

Definitely not needed. My daughter writes all her own emails and will ask my wife and I to look it over for any typo's and/or punctuation. She's gotten great at writing them and replying to coaches who reach out to her as well. Now she calls a lot of coaches after a while of emailing . One D1...

    2020 Easton Ghost 33/23

Sorry for the late reply. We've had games all week. I'll get it weighed in the next couple of days and let you know.

Does your Daughter have a Job?

I think kids should have jobs. It teaches them life balance, responsibility and how to interact with others that are not just peers. I own several restaurants and my daughter and my son work as hostess/host at my location in our town. We employ a lot of H.S. kids and most are in sports and we...

    2020 Easton Ghost 33/23

Have almost brand new 33/23 Ghost that was used only one game. DD had 2019 that broke just under warranty after a full fall, spring H.S. and summer season on it and it was replaced with the 2020 which she didn't care for and got her a different brand. No warranty. Don't know how to upload images...

Taking DD to college campuses just so they could look around?

My daughter's a jr. and has been to 31 different schools. We visit any school within range of her tournaments, if we're on vacation and by going to camps. She's visited every division level and size of school. She knows right away if she likes it or not. She has a strong interest from a D3...

How do you interpret this note from a coach?

Our daughters are at the same stage of the process. Reply to everyone. Be honest with the coach and build a rapport. My daughter lets schools that are interested in her know right away if they don't have her major that it won't work because of that so they can move on and not waste their time.

    Hello from the Windy City

Stumbled on this page looking for bat reviews and it looks to be a great site with informative people. My daughter is 16 and a L/L 1B/OF. She loves the game so much and everyone that knows her knows it as well and tells my wife and I that they love how Maggie has always loved playing the game so...

    2020 Demarini FNX

Newbie and looking at threads lots of great info here. My daughter had a 33/23 2019 Ghost and hit great with it in H.S. and travel but after 8 months it broke. Got a replacement under warranty and her first and only hit (a double in the LC gap) it cracked! Still under warranty she got a 2020...
