i'm dd is a ghost and lxt type of girl right now.
she had a mizuno pwr crbn as her first bat at about the time you are talking about for your dd. 31/20 too.
I'd say go 31/20. Bat manufacturing companies are doing a better job of being closer to sticker weight these days. Worst case scenario, she chokes a half inch for just a little while.
LE, don't want to make a new thread.
Looking at the Jen Schro the very best set. Daughter is 5'7" to 5'8". 14 yrs old. Debating between the medium and large sets. I know girls don't like catcher sets very big on them so that's why i'm leaning to medium. Any thoughts on sizing of this set?

we had a original grey/black meta. Liked the bat a lot, sound was great and seemed to give much better out the wrapper performance. Then...
I'd stick w a 2 piece bat. My daughter swung a mizuno pwr carbon at that age, enjoyed it. You can't really go wrong with many bats at that age. Prisms, CF's, Echo Connect, Ghost lines etc. I worked my kids hard with hitting so i enjoyed buying them nice bats. Bats do help and at 9 and 10...
Does that mean current models are half off???? :D Might be looking for -9... not sure if i can hold off till Jan/Feb... we gots works to be putting it right now!
i've bought some slow pitch wood bats for my dd. its a bit heavier than her normal bats which i like cause i think it adds strength and power training. I also use it for the purpose of hitting dimple balls off the pitching machine. I don't want that wear and tear on her game/expensive bats.
