    head position

I have a kid who's head is tilted down in his stance and as he loads. I think this is causing him to not see the ball well (although he is getting both eyes on ball). How important is it to have a level head for better vision?

Sometimes when DD is pitching the ball spins toward the catchers right. R handed pitcher. Can IR naturally produce a bullet spin?

    Cues that work when explained

We have been discussing Cues that do not work or that work but need explanation. What cues are the most solid, especially would like to hear more about show your back pocket then show your front. Or any other cues that simplify the sequence of the load/coil stretch.

    IR

If I got this correct the circle goes like this. As it comes up (after back swing) the ball is facing 1st until 12 then its facing catcher with arm in a c shape, then it turns toward 3b at about 1 then is pulled down facing the sky with the elbow leading the way until the elbow, wrist ,and...

A list of mechanics that everyone agrees on

There seems to be disagreement on some aspects of what the perfect swing is. But there is also a lot of things everyone agrees on. Please list what you think is solid mechanics that most experts agree on as this could help many new coaches to get kids on the right track. Thanks Eric

Injury prevention pitch right hit left?

I know that when you stride thousands of times a year it probabally affects your acl, and when you hit if you hit the same side you pitch (right or left) you are striding thousands more times a year on the same leg. Would it be better to switch to opposing side (hit lefty/pitch righty, etc) to...

Hands go back or stay put

After reviewing several swing clips I observed that some elite hitters move their hands back while they stride and others just leave them in the same spot. Which is better? Why?

    show it then throw it

with my main goal being injury prevention. could someone explain the proper way to teach show it then throw it. does this mean as the arm/ball comes up the circle that the ball should face the catcher and thumb face 1b for a righty pitcher? then as the ball/arm circle reaches 12 the ball...

    Bat angle complaint from parent

I was doing an assisted matrix drill and putting bat into a good position by having them angle bat at a 45 degree angle across the pony tail hole with knob pointed towards catcher (wrist cocked) and the parent stoped me and said that he wanted her bat to start out on plane and to point the...

    Workn with boys t-ball????

This is a question about boys t-boy. My son swings great, gets in a very good position, but is too young to properly do knee cock with a negative move, what he does is transfers his wt back then strides forward as hes swinging in a very exaggerated move. Ive got him to tone it down a bit. My...

REC League Doesnt have to be boring

Unfortunately, some of the rules in some of but not all of the rec leagues cause kids to quit playn ball in my opinion. We have a rec league that stops base running as soon as infielder has control of the ball. no lead offs. no advance on overthrow, etc. The offense and the defense are not...
