Its something I’ve thought about however in full disclosure, Im paranoid with things like that. Not healthy.
DD had to move up to 14u this year and team decided to stay down. She’s decided to give school sports a go as well as commit to Softball fully and this new team has an excellent...
I know the question is old but just IMO I wouldn’t have seen anything wrong with mentioning it. DD was a tryout where a kid was hurt but could do everything except throw.
As for arm path, DD used to complain about her arm hurting. Not sure how she picked it up, but she has this weird side arm...
The absolute worst I can think of as seen in Softball where an opposing coach went to argue with every call the ump made. Lots of yelling, screaming and in the face finger-pointing from the coach. its alot worse than the words Im using
I dont know how she sat there and took it. you could tell...
Yikes. @pattar. You're better off telling DDs' coach to play here instead http://www.usssa.com/fastpitch/event_home/?eventID=332800.
You won't get to play in a new fancy complex but you'll save hundreds in hotel costs.
Of course the alternative is to stay home and play. Which I'm sure wouldnt...
I am in Kansas (Not a coach just a parent)
I think the biggest opposition to anything UTrip related is MSP specific. Genesis Sports Complex is also "stay to play" and there brand new on-site hotel will be finished by the spring. They cut their Fast Pitch tourneys down to strictly Top Gun...
This is something I struggle with my DD on. Her situation is very different in that it's not that she didn't want to work, but felt like there wasn't much of a point if she wasn't able to join a team. So largely - on her way out as is. She is a cheerleader and the schedule is very busy. We...
I loathe the word "Committed".
In my neck of the woods what they really mean is someone who devotes 100% of their time with the team. And if you cant attend a sleepover means youre killing team chemistry.
She says she didnt hear a pop until she hurt it the 2nd time (after the initial injury we seen the doc on). This was a Saturday and for certain since following Monday she's been off of it completely.
DD has always had this weird thing with her knee cap where she can move them around. It really...
This is of great relief :)
I have this bad habit of looking to far into things. So really REALLY really trying to not to much thought into it until we get her results.
How did she tear and how old? DD is 12. Injury is from non softball related sport
Im assuming the worst - (grade 2-3 or even possible ACL) but really pulling for a situation like above. I understand about the squat and lunges as I 've gotten on to her about it previously especially in her...
its been my experience that girls are really pressed to specialize more than boys. Maybe its lack of professional opportunities for women which makes it more of "go all in" culture around youth sports.
Im not saying it doesnt exist for boys - it does. But just that in my experience everything...
Current situation is great. Head coach of the organization has a daughter on each team in their age group. Coach is highly qualified however with current professional experience.
Can verify - Daughters team is C - two 07's and the rest 08's. I know my daughter didnt play this last year and from USSSA Roster history, neither did the rest of the team save 2 (10 player roster). We finished the fall 2 games above .500 and planning to reclassify in the Spring back to B...
IMO i fyou have a power ranking of 1000+ then you should definitely be moved up.
You see it in KS really bad where C/B teams sandbag pretty hard and refuse to move up. But hey, those trophies are cool
Havent read any replies so apologies if this has already been said but
This coach does not have your childs (or any childs) best interest. Continue to go to your lessons and start speaking to them about teams looking in your area. But most importantly remember these 2 things
1. Your child...
