    Thank you, that is what I figured, and is how we write ours. Our head coach was a D-1 coach and knows the rules as good as any coach I have seen. Now that you have answered my question, what is the penalty? I thought it was an out every time that player comes to bat after the umpire is notified.

    What is the average player turnover for a softball organization?

    I think the fact that there are so many teams around it drives up the amount of turnover. Around us there are so many teams especially at the B and low A level. Until 14u (and even then) I would never let my daughter sit the bench just to be on a certain team.
