In another thread about pitching speed, an opinion was stated that if a pitcher is fast at a young age, they will not reach their full potential because they never had to work hard to get better and that the pitcher who has to work harder to gain velocity will eventually pass her and become...
DD picked up with a 14U team this past weekend for a round robin. Afterwards, they offered her an opportunity to play with them next weekend in a tournament that's local to us, called "Pony International". I have never heard of Pony in reference to SB before. I scanned the pitching rules and...
OK, I try really hard not to be that parent. I let the coach coach and support my DD as much as I can. We have never had a problem with a coach like this in the past and I need someone to pull me back if I'm out of line.
Here's the situation. We went out of town to play some different teams...
DD hit her 1st OTF HR this weekend. She turned 13 on Thursday. She works hard and has had some close calls, but finally.

Going to PCB for the 1st time 7/14-7/21 for the USFA World Series. I'm sure some of you have been there before. Do you have any advise or suggestions? Also is anyone else going?
I have a 10 yo DD that has been pitching for 9 months now and starting to get where she is being used more often in tournaments now. This weekend she threw her 1st full game (4 innings) and a total of about 8 innings throughout the day. She was pretty sore Sunday morning. Just muscle...
After 2 years (a year of league and then 1st year of 10U TB), the cheap Wilson special is finally needing to be retired. We took the DD to a large sporting goods store to let her try on ALL the gloves to see what she liked and of course she liked the higher end glove, the Rawlings Liberty...
