Help, I think I did my daughter a great disservice.

LOL, I know it...It's hard not to try and "influence" their decision.

Help, I think I did my daughter a great disservice.

Awesome, good to know. Her coach actually recommended a CF5, but I have been having trouble finding a decent deal on anything her size, and balanced. From what I have read, some people consider the CF8 the next best thing. I guess we will find out soon enough!

Help, I think I did my daughter a great disservice.

I hear ya. She did swing the demarini, and a few LS. The problem was they didn't have her size, all were too big. However, she swung them ok. She did like the Demarini much better than the LS. I figured if she was ok with the bat that was too big for her, I would be safe ordering the one her size.

Well, we found a pretty decent deal on a closeout Demarini CF8, so we will give that a shot. Once she is used to swinging the extra weight we can re-evaluate other options. She just doesn't know what she doesn't know yet.

WTB 2012 DeMarini CF5 (or newer)

As then title states, looking for some bats for my daughter to try out. Coach said to try and find a 2012 CF5 (balanced). 31/21 not looking for a slapper or Insane.

That's what I hear. I have heard the same about the Louisville Slugger LXT. Problem is, I'm not finding any locally in her size to swing. We found a Xeno, but that thing swung heavy. Everything else is a 32" or larger.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Help, I think I did my daughter a great disservice.

Since she is still crafting her swing, is moving from the -13 to a -10 going to mess her up that bad? Or because she is relatively new and still learning, it's better to just rip the band aid off and go for it?

Help, I think I did my daughter a great disservice.

I will preface this by saying I have no knowledge when it comes to softball. My daughter is 12, 5'1 1/2", 96 pounds, all lower body. She has been swinging a 31" 18oz aluminum bat (drop 13). I didn't know any better when I bought the thing, it was for her to use in an in-house league to see...

    Rejection?

My daughter made her first travel squad this year. When she told her hitting coach she made a team, he asked her "What are you going to say to the other teams that make you offers?" She didn't know. He said "Its easy, say thank you for the opportunity, but I have accepted another offer."...

    "New" softball dad help please

My daughter swung a couple of bats tonight, a few DeMarinis and a Xeno. She wasn't a huge fan of the Xeno as for the same size bat, she felt it was noticeably heavier. So, it's on to a search for an older model year Demarini CF of some sort

    "New" softball dad help please

Thanks for the replies all...My daughter is 5'2" 96lbs. She comes from 8 years of competitive equestrian, so she is very muscular in her lower half. Her mechanics are very good for her experience, and we have her with a hitting/fielding coach 2x a week. She is playing catch up. I do like...

    "New" softball dad help please

Alright, I want to apologize in advance...I have probably a unique situation and need some advice regarding a bat purchase for my daughter. She is 12, and literally just started playing softball this past summer. Well, somehow she managed to make it into a 14u travel team for this upcoming...
