Choosing correct bat weight?
Yeah, after her softball bat dented she didn't want to stop hitting so she was using my husband's baseball bat. He went and bought her a 33/25 combat maxum, but it's too long. She loves it, but I don't want her developing any bad habits from it being to big. I'm trying to find the same bat...- hlevy

Thanks! DH went a bought two bats that are, in my opinion, too long for her. She's already been practicing with one so I can't return them both :(. The one she's been using is a 33/25 Combat Maxum. She's in love with it so I have a feeling she's going to be difficult when I return the other...- hlevy

Rotating players?
I can assure you one lap isn't punishment. It also kept the girls moving while the next player attempted the challenge. It was all smiles and laughter while running until our player who had a bad attitude the entire night attempted it. All of the other girls wanted to do the challenge again...- hlevy

Thanks Bmakj! We had a really good practice last night. AC worked one on one with our girl who is scared, and she seemed to make a nice improvement towards the end of practice. She's still leery of fly balls (will definitely have to try her wearing a helmet- thanks for that tip!), but her...- hlevy

DD has been using her bat from last year which is a 29" 19oz Easton FS200. We got her that bat because she only played rec ball and didn't know whether she was going to keep up with the sport. How long does a typical practice last for you? We've had 5 practices so far out of 8 and they only last 1.5 hours. We have 3 girls who I would say are our weakest. Two of them either show up late or don't show up at all so it's hard to get them where they need to be. The third is at every...- hlevy

Thank you all for the responses so far! I didn't realize how calloused I sounded in my post. Our league doesn't have any infield/outfield equal play rules. For as long as I can remember (back to when I played rec ball myself) not every player was benched. Generally only 2-3 select players...- hlevy

Thanks everyone! Since is my first year coaching and I was going off of how things have been traditionally done, I didn't realize most people rotated all players. I'll be sure to give this a try!
