    Livestream to Twitter with Mevo

Hi All - I'm taking over streaming games for DDs team. I purchased a Mevo with the intent of live streaming to the team's Twitter account, which is what we did last summer. After playing around with the Mevo app, I now see that the live stream to Twitter button is effectively "broken" since...

    Riseball Spin Direction

If a riseball is thrown against a tarp with proper spin direction, will the ball travel up or down the y-axis upon contact? Thanks!

College coach interaction with pitching/hitting coach?

In regards to recruiting prior to 9/1 of a PSAs junior year, is a coach allowed to communicate with a player's personal coach; i.e. a pitching coach unaffiliated with the player's club team? Even to give feedback on what the player could improve on?

No Softball in Illinois this Summer?

So still a chance for Demarini in Chicago starting 7/8?

    Tournament Time

Great news. Is it safe to say that Florida tournaments are all proceeding as planned? Does anyone know if D9 in early June is still on?

    Scenic City Cancelled

Perhaps I'm being naive here, but don't those dates conflict with PGF Week 2?

Any info on NCAA dead period extension

Not sure it is appropriate for this thread and I'm sure the answer depends on class, but what can/should players be doing during the extended dead period to not lose all recruiting momentum? Is it worth the anxiety and health risk to attend live-streamed tournaments that coaches may (or may not)...

Any info on NCAA dead period extension

Are coaches able to watch games that are live-streamed during the dead period?

    Potential for injury

Thanks all for the discussion. I'm comfortable that DDs mechanics are sound, and recently sought out a "second opinion" from another instructor to confirm as much. She also works with her organization's house instructor. Obviously there is a lot to improve on, but I believe generally DD is on...

    Potential for injury

Thank you all very much for the responses. The time away from her team has been tough, but the silver lining is that she's made tremendous progress over the last few months. I will re-emphasize the importance of stretching and ignore the haters!

    Potential for injury

DD is a 13YO pitcher who throws hard. At last week's lesson her instructor was clocking her speed and saying the numbers out loud. There were a few other parents in the area watching along and as we were leaving, I heard one mumble something like, "that's all great until she gets hurt". For...

Supporting the economy one gadget at a time

The app can be clunky, but there's no way there isn't a working Android version. Swing data is transitioned seamlessly to your cloud account after each session, which is really nice.

Supporting the economy one gadget at a time

If you like gadgets, the Blast is a no-brainer at $75. Depending on how deeply you want to dive in, I would recommend the webinar series Blast has been doing for the last few Fridays. Very insightful and does show that it is getting traction in the travel/college community. To the point where...

USSSA thinks we're sort of getting back to normal, sort of not

Good to see that they have enough confidence that we will be playing by then to schedule this event. I suspect that opening it up to all means fewer will travel for it, which is probably a good thing. Doesn't help USSSA's struggle for credibility, but probably the best they could do given the...

A week in Colorado after returning to work

Thanks OS, appreciate the follow-up. Just the fact that they are canceling events into July is not good news. DD's team is scheduled to play IDT the first week in July, which I have been thinking could be the start to her tournament season. This makes me question if that is even going to happen.

Hi Socks - I wasn’t able to find that shows are canceled through July. Where did you see this?

    Blast Metric Scoring Question

Hi - To anyone with familiarity with the Blast Sensor, are the metric scores related to the individual player's goals, or will the same inputs always result in the same overall metric score independent of the goal setting? For example, my daughter's sensor is set up with the "Travel Ball 12u -...

    Interpreting camp invite emails

Thanks all, appreciate the responses. Trying to decipher what constitutes real interest is obviously very challenging, probably more so since DD is a 2024 and the coaches that are watching this age group are just now starting to form their list of interesting players. I completely get coaches...
